Blade texture question

how does the sharkskin blade texture do the performance any justice? Just was wondering

A few of my sticks have that sandy grit on the blade.  I tape the whole blade, so the sand does nothing at all.

I think it's just feel. When you start to like or take notice you enjoy a certain stick you chase that feeling. It's just another option I'm sure has no impact on shots or anything. I hated grip when it first came out. Now I love it!

it helps the tape stick better and keeps residue off. As well as better puck handling where the tape isnt

I tape my blade fully and when i had the sharkskin coating on my base twig and ztac on my pro cammalleri twigs, I noticed the snow buildup was easier to take off

Anything I can use to reapply the texture? It seems to wear off after awhile...
