I'm looking at purchasing a stick that has been spray painted on the bottom of the shaft. Is there anyway to remove the spray paint without removing the original paint underneath?

Nail polish remover and good old fashion elbow grease 
It did the trick for me when I bought a stick that was sprayed painted all black.

Yep, Nail Polish remover does the trick. I got two totalones that were blacked out, nail polish remover took it right off.
