Just thought i would start something about Mike Brown being traded, thats all.
Mike Brown has been traded to the Oilers, for a conditional fourth-round pick in 2014. I personally think Brown was a pretty hard working guy. Not 100% sure on what Nonis was thinking, but then again, Lupul and Frattin should be coming back soon.
What are your thoughts on the trade?

Frees up a roster spot for the Leafs. Wish we could have kept him but McClaren and Orr have outperformed him this year.
The 4th turns into a 3rd if the Oilers make the playoffs.

They already have orr and mclaren + fraser, so it was a dump to free up space for frattin who is returning tonight

agreed, steckel doesn't really have a roll anymore, bozak's killing face offs, and is steckel even on the pk, i can't remember lately.
all i have to say for edmonton fans is that you guys got a good player for the energy lines and will stick up for any of his teammates. Super solid dude. i predict he'll be a fan favorite in no time in edmonton

happened to steckel anyway? it's like he's disappeared this season. not much ice time, granted, but he doesn't look good. he looks very slow.
brown is fast, another reason to have kept him. when the leafs play a speed game is when they can compete.
