So I bought a apx stick a month or two ago. Lately when I take snapshots sometimes it makes a funny noise, like a dampening noise or like something is going to crack kinda.

I was retaping my stick and no signs of cracking or lines on the blade. But when I grab the blade with both hands and twist opposite ways it sounds like the foam in the blade has loosened a little. There a light creeking when I do the twist. I proceeded to take some heavier shots and it seemed to work alright, but sometimes if I took an off shot it would make a weird noise.

Does this mean my stick is gonna blow up soon or what's the deal?

Maybe my stick is dying ? :( I like this stick. It's only been 2 months, its got so much more to see and do.

Looking for BIOSTEEL jersey made by UA or Adidas.

A lot of APXs do that. Usually they hold up just fine after starting to squeak, sometimes they don't. It just depends on how lucky you are I guess

The blade is more than likely going soft on it. When you can flex the blade with your hands and it makes noises like you're describing that's usually what it means.

Sadly, it's pretty common for this to happen to sticks. My last APX did the same thing, but lasted awhile after initially noticing. Oddly enough I was 2 handed and the shaft broke in half.

I've had blades that went soft and you couldn't see any signs externally. I've also had blades that went soft and started cracked length wise on the bottom or near the toe. The worst is when the blade soften ups so much that even the softest pass flexes it, you lose feel and it becomes pretty useless.

I think you can get away with using it until the blade goes completely, breaks, or something else crazy happens.
