So I think I need a pair because I'm tired of being slashed all the time. Anyone recommended any? I just want the sweatband looking ones since they are cheaper and less bulky.

I've used Under Armor, Bauer, Warrior and some other cheap brand I can't remember and personally I like the fact that the Warriors are the standard length, not the longer ones that the others come in {I think 5 "}, as they tend to be too long next to my elbow pads. I like these types because they can be washed just like your clothes.

I see a new type out these days, they look like neoprene with hard pads inside, never tried them though.

You could always spend the usual "far out" price though and get some Jofa's ;)

i use the bauer. and they cover pretty much from where my elbow pad ends right up to my wrist. never tried the warrior ones though. so i might have too. but the bauer ones seem to cover the exact area i want covered

Used these growing up..they work awesome. Good if you don't like bulky elbow pads because they cover your hole arm up to your gloves. The "sweatband" style are pretty much all the same, just varies in colour and the brand stitched on them.

Hockey is Life. The rest is just details.

I don't use them anymore (thank you $25 Jofa 9177 elbow pads from Peranis before the prices got outlandish), but I had the Eagle ones - http://www.icewareho...html?pcode=EWG9 - and they were pretty good. The segmented plastic pads allow the guard to cover your whole wrist, and keep them more flexible than most.

Haven't used them either, but those are the Evoshield ones. They look interesting, because you actually mold the plastic pad to your wrist. A little pricey, but they look interesting: http://www.evoshield...lash-guards.htm

If I still used wristguards, I'd maybe try the Zoombang ones, also (the ones with the softer padding that hardens on impact). http://www.zoombang.com/

the solution to this problem is to slash back and twice as hard, then they should get the message

Haha I'm not a fan of getting a penalty though. The past 2 times i've gotten slashed i've had a bruise for almost 3 weeks. I'm wearing some Reebok 6K elbows. Mincy has been kind enough to send me some slash guards.
