Here's those QRL's. 

I saw them, too, and might've bit if I had more rizz and could pull off white mitts.

 Probably about 1999/2000  my buddy found two pairs of the OG Cooperalls, one red, one blue. We wore them to play in a roller hockey game. Got a bunch of "WTF?" looks, and after the initial novelty wore off we realized that 1980's heavy polyester knit  pants that came up to our ribcages was not the best choice for a late summer semi outdoor roller hockey rink.  Holy crap were those hot.    

Good thing you weren't on ice. Word is you'll light-speed-warp straight into the boards if you fall in them.

Oh..to pull the trigger on those Flyers...I just don't have the $$$ to pull it off..

IKR. It'd be the height of hilarity to roll up to drop in with a pair of cooperalls.
