The all star jerseys work as a one off I guess, not horribly awful but nothing special either. I feel like the NHL missed a mark not using teal in there anywhere (aside from the patch). Its one of the more unique colors in the NHL and to just completely cut it out feels like a miss. Even if they had teal accents or lining around the logo. Something to signify the game was actually in SJ.
I think it really depends on the league, whether it is rink run or independent, etc.
Different ways I have gotten schedules at different rinks/leagues:
Independent League, one long season with a Christmas/New Year break : schedule released week before play begins, but we have our schedule from October to May
Independent League, two seasons (fall & spring) rink closes May-September: week to week schedule, teams are notified on Sunday when they will be playing that week
Rink-Run League, three seasons (fall, winter, summer): schedule released two weeks before season starts, rink has option to move game if better (earlier) ice time becomes available
Rink-Run League, three seasons (fall, winter, summer): each tier has designated game nights, schedule released week to week, but tier plays on designated evening
Rink-Run League. three seasons (fall, winter, summer): schedule released days before play starts for that season, rink has option to move games to better (earlier) ice times if available
Rink-Run League, three seasons (fall, winter, summer): schedule released close to beginning of the season for the first 1/4 of the season. Schedule comes out in 1/4 season chunks, typically a 2-3 day gap between when the chunk is released and the next game. (it is as bad as it sounds.)
Well. I guess getting your own gloves made as you want them. Ive been between Eagle and Warrior for a while. Never did it.
Want to get some old school Gretzky/Messier/Smyth. High cuffs made.
Then, by your definition, and the definition of most people in this community (myself included), no, they do not make custom gloves anymore. Warrior closed their custom/pro plant in Montreal a while ago and with that plant closing they lost the ability/willingness to do the custom modifications that many had become accustom to (cuffs, coloring, materials, etc.) You can go on Warrior.Com/CustomHockey to order gloves now, but you are limited to a step-down from their top-tier product offerings. You also are restricted to only changing colors, and the "color-zones" are pretty restricted at that. To me, it is not worth it.
If you want a truly custom glove the way Warrior previously did it, Eagle is pretty much the only game in town. That being said, their customer service and craftsmanship is top-notch, and the prices are very fair as well. I always recommend Jesse at The Hockey Shop to anyone looking to have Eagle gloves made.
