Looking for a pair of the Jets heritage Jetspeeds in 13". Not concerned about the palms, but the shells need to be clean

I'm not a big CCM guy but it's 220 really that crazy? I feel like 159-199 is pretty standard for new gloves these days

 

Sorry, perhaps I should have been more clear. That's the seller I was referring to in the initial post that I've tried to work with since last November. They had offered them to me offline for $178 after I pointed out their listings had an error when the gloves were priced at $164 (in hindsight I wish I just bought the damn things and didn't point anything out to them!). As soon as I asked for how they'd like payment, they ghosted me. This was via SLS messenger, then text, and then FB Messenger. Three different platforms, multiple requests, same result. None of the Jost gloves they have listed have sold in the last 6 months.

 

$220+taxes and shipping is more than I'm willing to spend. $178 shipped I'm fine with.

Are you messaging Cole? He is hard to work with when it comes to striking a deal outside of SLS. His boss is easier to work with. I have his number. He buys the gear from the Avs, Cole is his sales guy.

I’ve messaged Cole and whoever runs their SLS page with a cell ending in 9250. Crazy thing is we’ve agreed on a price multiple times and every single time I ask how they’d like me to pay I get no responses. When I follow up they’re seemingly unaware of the previous conversations we had. I’ve shared multiple screenshots of the convos and agreements with them and don’t get anywhere. Crazy frustrating when I’m trying to give them money for products that seemingly don’t sell

I’ve had a saved search for 7 months. Only pairs I’ve come across were from NHL Gear who is seemingly unwilling to negotiate on their crazy prices online or off. If I’m somehow missing another listing… I’ll happily check what you’re seeing

I was searching for years for the Blackhawks 2015 Winter Classic glove which was made in the style they wore throughout the 70-90's. Specifically there was a pair of Bauer APX2 with red palms that at some point someone here had, but I missed them. I was finally able to get a pair of custom made gloves in this style during Covid, but that was when CPR stopped taking retail orders so I was never able to get red palms. Got something cooking which should make this dream glove a reality pretty soon.

 

Otherwise I suppose I'm pretty boring with my gloves. Got a pair of tans that work for me and while I'd love a pair of Covert Whalers, I don't have any gear to wear them with so they'd just sit in the closet. I am hoping to find a pair of Coverts or Jetspeeds in the Lightning RR 2.0 colorway they wore this past season

What I can't decide on is which holder to choose.

When I switched over to True skates I installed XS holders. Never had an issues with Bauer, but figured it would be easier/cheaper to find Step steel for XS (and it has). No complaints these last 3 years

That's strange. Both my tf9s are going strong after over 2 years of being used a few times a week

 

My TF9s were about two years old as well. Heel cracked, not from a shot or impact that I could recall. 

 

 

That is why I upgraded to the Cat Pros. About 60 days of casual summer play and a crack began to form on the inside of the boot

I've been using these tongues for the last 3 or so years. They're felt, but have a plastic piece to help prevent lace bite. Have not had any issues with them on any of the True skates I've put them in

I just got off the ice with the Catalyst Pros and all I can say is wow...these are some of the best skates I've ever worn. Even the retail models fit like a glove, but the pro models are even nicer.

 

I have to agree with you. Love my Cat Pros. Only downside is the carbon fiber which I also had issues with on my TF9s. A crack has begun to form on the Cat Pros after only 2 months of using them 

Try putting some epoxy over the crack, then cover it with something such as adhesive shot blockers or helicopter tape. A few guys on MSH used it on their True skates with good results. I may add some to my skates as well, depending on how they hold up.

I contemplated doing that with the TF9s before getting the Cats. We’ll see how the crack progresses and if it gets worse I’ll likely go the epoxy route. Already have the helicopter skins on them.

That said, I also have a pair of FT6 Pros I’ve been waiting to test out
