Hi,

Currently, I use old 852 Tacks shin pads made in 2010 (I think). Since I switch to girdle and narrow gloves, I have the feeling that my shin pads are big.

What are the lightest/contoured/smaller shin pads in the market? From past and present years.

Thanks.

I think the Bauer 1X Lite shin pad’s are the lightest on the market now, maybe ever.

For now it has to be either CCM FT1 or Bauer 1X Lite. They are incredibly light but have been reported to have some quality built issues

I’m pretty sure most plastic pads are HDPE, which is thermoformable, so you could try heating yours and wrapping them tight to mold them into a smaller profile. You could remove any excess padding if you want to cut on weight and bulk.
