Heres a good video showing the new 2019 Bauer Vapor lineup for skates & sticks. Bauer vapor flylite stick will be the top of the line twig. Doesn't have ADV technology, which is a let down imo. After all Bauer was teasing green ADV accents on a bunch of 1X lite pro twigs this season...

2X Pro skates also have an asymmetrical toe box, which is why it looks different than the 1X.

Stick release: August 30th

Does anyone have some insight to offer on TPU outsoles? Does that seem like a big downgrade for a 2nd tier elite level skate (found on the 2X)? Typically the 2nd tier elite skate still has a "lightweight composite" outosole. I am in the market for new skates and trying to wrap my head around the selection of outsoles that Bauer is putting on boots after the top level elite model (2X Pro), which seems to be plunging.

I really like the look of the non-pro 2X skate. The darker gunmetal heel and no random yellow accents looks way cleaner.

Looks like the sticks are only available in 87 flex....wonder why they chose to remove the other flexes....

Makes sense.
Going to check out the pro custom sticks when they come out. Hope the paint job on them look decent though. Hoping the “my” on myBauer is not too noticeable.

Bauer sure didn't wait long to go above even the 2X/S/N Pro level. That literally lasted for less than a year probably. Now a Flylite above the 2X Pro. Can't wait to see how much thats going to be. Bauer aren't even trying to hide the fact they're gouging. They're just doing it and thumbing their nose at consumers. Not to mention they've drastically reduced offerings of their sticks from lowest level to highest. Only 3 models now? Not to mention you're only going to be able to get 87 flex in stores? Thats a huge mistake IMO. What happens if a kid breaks a twig during a tournament and has to run to an LHS and grab one before the next game? If he plays anything other than an 87 flex (which most kids, and most adults, shouldn't be using) they're going to skip over Bauer and go to someone else. I get they want people to use mybauer but that only works if you have the time for it to work. Unless they are planning to substantially increase the time from order to delivery this is going to be a massive mistake on their part. People aren't going to wait 99% of the time, they will just go to the store and get a CCM or Warrior who are offering more options in their sticks on the retail rack with no wait for delivery. Eventually I can see this hurting Bauer and a lot of people starting to flip to CCM/Warrior if Bauer just keeps raising things every single year. There is eventually going to be a tipping point, we may not have gotten there yet but its definitely getting closer and closer without question

Why would people even use my bauer when it has not been updated in months?

82 flex should be the standard. It seems to have the broadest appeal as both 75 guys and 85 guys can make it work more often than not.

I agree, personally I'm a 77 in Nexus and Supreme and an 82 in Vapor just cause I find them a bit whippier, but I could for sure make 82 work across the board. Very few people should be using 87 flex, unless you're really leaning on shots that flex isn't helping you much. 70-82 is probably where the majority of people should reside

What kind of bologna is that? Only an 87 flex available in stores? I can't believe they would think that is a good decision....

I doubt they're just gonna have 87.

That's kind of a weird statement. People are comprised of different sizes shapes and forms and skill levels. I've used 87 for the last 8 years or so and that's all i will use. I just tried 82 and noticed a difference right away on shooting and i've tried 95 which was just a little too stiff. Tons of people around me use 87.

Plus why would bauer add 82 to their flex line up, that's just more variables in their stick line. It goes 77/87/95/102

Looking for BIOSTEEL jersey made by UA or Adidas.

Looking for Bauer Pro defender elbows size Large

I was always 87 for years then CCM accidentally sent me 77 flex sticks and I tried it and have been on 77 now for almost 2 years.

Who said Bauer would only be offering 87 flex in stores? Catalog shows every stick model in every flex they have always offered and says nothing about restricted products.

Got a chance to try on the 2X Pro jets today. Never been a Vapor skate guy but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they felt out of the box on my feet. Graphics do look better in person IMO but still not a huge fan.
