Lately on SLS , the package tracking is the HORRIBLE. Takes over a day , sometimes 2 or 3 to have a swap marked shipped or when item is delivered for buyer to receive a accept / reject email or text. Also I have sent them proof that the post office is not able to add extra insurance on their easypost labels ( because , USPS can not link added insurance with a easypost produced  label tracking # ) & they still state on their help page that you can add insurance at the post office. BAD BUSINESS

Tracking has always been terrible, but somehow it's been worse lately. I have a package scheduled to be delivered today, but the app still shows it hasn't shipped.

Regarding the insurance, this is an issue I had recently. Sold a pair of gloves for $150 (to Canada), the package got lost, and SLS refused to refund me! They also stated the standard shipping only covers $50 so I should have added additional insurance. However, when I worked with the post office to file a claim, they advised the package was shipped via First Class and there was ZERO coverage. A prepaid label that doesn't cover the cost of the goods being shipped is pointless!! After going back and forth they refunded me $100. I am still not happy, but I don't know where else to go with it. Between their fees, delays, and lack of support, I seriously question continuing to sell on there.

I really have no interest in shipping internationally because the odds of the package being lost in transit is greater, yet there's no option to opt out of international selling like on ebay.

What proof do you have from USPS that states you cannot insure prepaid labels? From the USPS website, it appears you can add insurance on prepaid labels: https://about.usps.c...ml/kit_011.html

As a Canadian buyer, I have enjoyed buying items from the US as the shipping is way more reasonable than eBay. Not being able to easily add extra insurance definitely is not great for sellers. Thankfully, I have received all items without issue and the sellers received the funds. I have sold on eBay for years, but never SLS because having to open an account that accepts US funds seemed like a pain. I will definitely continue to buy there, but I am not sure if I will use it to sell.

Yes International items , SLS produces 1st class labels which are not insured at all & you can not add INS at post office. The form below states ( for all labels ) , INS can only    be purchased from one source , easypost is their source / vendor. So you can not add INS at the post office because that would be 2 different sources ( Usps & easypost ). I        forwarded this to SLS in 12/18 & they still state on their help page you can add INS at the post office , you can't. If you chose to use your own label , they will refund you the          amount they charged the  buyer with site credit. Seller beware !  This info came from the Postmaster at my Post office , who received it from her Usps district sales manger.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         gallery_1862_1442_1086802.jpg

SLS Label source / vendor is easypost. any insurance for that label must come from easypost.

Been going back and forth with SLS and was informed that if I wanted to purchase additional insurance I can do so then provide SLS w/ the bill/tracking info and they will reimburse the costs. If I understand that correctly, it's basically not to use their prepaid labels, but to buy your own.

On a related note; the package that got lost going to Canada the first week of August was JUST delivered! Odd timing given this conversation, but SLS has now paid me the full amount I should have received from the getgo. Curious if the seller got charged back since their money was refunded or if they're simply getting a free pair of gloves

yeah , last time they said they would refund me for using my own label , without taking site credit , They took it from money I had in my sellers dashboard from a sale.
