I was just in the range yesterday, shooting with both (X92 and X28), trying to decide which one I am going to move into (from the X88). Nothing cups the cup at the toe, as you are about to shoot, like a X28. It's like it was designed for that (and it was). The X92 (not sure how it compares to P; sorry) just does not cup the puck at the toe like the X28 (and it was not designed for that, so it is not the fault of the curve).
My understanding in the rocker difference is that the 28 is "dual lie," and it seems to be just that- 2 straight, flat surfaces to work with, designed for different aspects of the game. The 92 is more of a rocker, literally, like a rocking chair, without the extreme break in the middle, dividing it up into 2 distinct blades, as the 28 does.
That's what I seem to have figured out anyway, in my studying the 2 curves, trying to decide which to move into. On ice is a different story than in the range, obviously, but I am moving into the X28 for now. We will see how it goes later today in my first run in the new curve.
