Generally you can go by skate size because they are trim to fit, but true way of fitting Superfeet is by the heel size, hence why they are also listed with letters. E seems to be the most commonly sold one in my area, but if you can, I would go have your heel measured with superfeet before you buy them.
I used to wear an E but after proper fitting went to the D and it made a noticeable difference for me. Still trimmed to the same length.

Yea they're built on overall size but i wouldn't recommend buying a pair without getting fitted. Im a size 7 skate and i wear a F which is huge lol. I need the arch support. Just my .02
Superfeet will stabilize the heel but does not provide any arch support.

Go by skate size. Take out your insoles that you have in your boot already, and use them to trace cut the super feet. You'll have to do a bit of trimming since they come wide (to accommodate for EE sizing)
When I worked in a shop, our local Superfeet rep advised us not to go by the skate size on the box. Fit the footbeds according to the heel like the guys above mentioned.
