had a new pair done and they are awful. The left skate is ok, use able but my right skate is a complete mess. My heel won’t sit in the skate correctly and feels very sloppy. I had issues with volume on the right skate as well and they redid the boot. IMO the scan process is flawed. My VH are still better than any true skate I’ve had

I’m so disappointed with the skate. My traced VHs I actually liked.

For Preferred fit what does each mean?

True Standard

Relaxed

Tight

Same. My Custom VH's from the second year of production are the best skates I own. I don't even use my custom True's. They don't fit remotely custom. My recommendation is to include all the additional info as attachments to a custom order aside from scans. Foot trace, specific foot volume and width considerations. Sad part is I bought the customs when I worked at a pro shop so I made sure the scan was done multiple times and correctly.

When i did my new trues, I had them use my old data and see what changed with the scan.  So if the Trues are the same as the VH, you'd expect them to fit the same and that is simply not the case.  My VH are spot on and still feel amazing.  The trues feel bigger and are not as custom.  The VH hug my foot a lot better.

How many times did you bake the Trues? I have tf9s for over 3 years now. I have probably baked them a dozen times at this point, they fit amazing, no issues. They aren't custom at all and they fit as good as can be expected. I'm surprised to hear that customs are giving people issues

My SVH customs were too short in the toe box and my toes were cramped. I removed the pieces of foam in the toe box, stretched the right boot a bit, and re-baked them; now they fit like a glove. The original scan definitely wasn't perfect and I had to make a few adjustments. My 9X4's and Catalyst Pros (not made for my foot) actually feel better than my SVH's.

My right skate in my svh trues is very sloppy. Also they are to long.

True jacked up my 2025 SVH customs. They're falling apart and I haven't even baked them. There is glue residue everywhere, the heels have chipping, and the steel will not fit into the holders. I ordered them unmounted since I mount Edge holders on all my skates, but the new True steel will not fit in the holders no matter how many times I try. My 2023 SVH's were not even close to this bad. I really hope True fixes this.

Email them and let them know. They replaced my last SVH defective customs at no charge.

Oof. That’s pretty rough. No doubt they’ll warranty them but still. How does something like that get out the door and past QC in the first place?

I did email them with all these pictures. According to people's testimonies, I'm pretty confident that they will replace or repair them.

I know right? That was my first thought as well. My 2023 SVH's had a small amount of peeling, but they've been holding up great otherwise. I just used George's hockey glue on those and haven't had an issue since.

Update: Thankfully, True is remaking a new pair of boots for me since these were clearly defective. After 90 minutes of stick and puck, my "repaired" 2025 True SVH skates fell apart. I hadn't played a single game on them, just skating around and shooting. The liners on both skates have faded like they've been out in the sun for days and both ankle seams have split open. They also have a ton of flaws on the clear coat that I didn't catch the first time. They were baked in my Bauer skate oven once following True's instructions.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with True skates, which have been great for me otherwise. My other True skates have shown cosmetic wear, but only after a few seasons of beer league and nothing to this extent. I really hope the remade boots hold up.

I received the remade True boots and the difference is night and day. No seams splitting and the clear coat is much thicker with no bubbles. The build quality on these feels much better, so let's see if they hold up longer than 90 minutes. I'm thinking that the liner material and clear coat in the previous batch was defective.

Glad the remade pair is of better quality.

True posted an all black out skate on their IG today. Bringing back black holders which I used to rock on CCM skates in the 90’s.

Those white 9X4's are so clean, but I definitely don't have the skill to back them up.

Bummer they are only in the new holder, I prefer the older holder after 5 years on them would love to have a blackout of those. My new SVH are blackout on the sides and everything  :dunno:

The answer I got was to keep an eye out for November drop.
