Hey guys I could use a little help with skate fitting.

The problem I'm having is that I can't find a skate that fits me properly in the ankle area. In skates that fit my foot, the padding for the ankle bones never lines up it only covers the back half of my ankle joints, if that.

Can those pads be moved forward?

Just trying to solve the issue I tried on some CCM's in 9.5W and the ankle pads are in the right spot on those, the problem is I need 8.5W skates.

I've read about the Graf G70's 370's and 570's being a deeper fit around the ankle but no one I can find within a 2 hour drive carries them.

While I've made do with the situation before I've already suffered a major hockey injury and I'd hate to do all this work to get back on the ice just to catch a puck on an improperly protected ankle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially if there's like a Pro-Stock designation for a deeper ankle or something like that.

cant they punch out the area that needs to be protected better? they do this for larger feet as well. Keep in mind if you have your skates punched out there's no returning them.

Have you tried other brands other than ccm? i see your wanting to try grafs?

Matt cookes grafs for a good price. check em out.

Sorry maybe I explaind it wrong.

It's the ankle pads being too far towards the back of the ankle that I have a problem with when the skates are the right size for my foot.

I'm basically looking for a skate that has the ankle pads closer to the eyelits.

I was asking about the Graf 70 series because supposedly they have a deeper fit so I was wondering if the ankle pads are closer to the front.

Thanks though, those are some sweet skates at a sweet price but the 35 series are the only Grafs I've been able to try on and they had the same issue.

Oh and ya I have tried CCM's/RBK's/Bauer's etc. it was just and example of how different my ankle size was compared to my foot size.
