I'm looking to make the transition from pants to a girdle and shell... I would love to find a pro stock size S, but having trouble, any recommendations on a retail girdle?

The TotalOne NXG (there is a LTR @ MSH) looks like a pretty decent upgrade to the old TotalOne (most important the lower-back/spine protector). I own the old T1 and its nice once you add some spine protection. The retail Warrior Project seems a little bit lighter in overall protection, but does already come with decent tailbone & spine protection and feels lighter when worn (you do have to replace the retail belt as it is just way to short).

The Rbk 9k is said to be a tank regarding protection; I haven't seen a single one so I can't comment (looks to be a pro-stock only item over here).

You are aware that pro-stock isn't a brand but a professional version of gear not available at retail, right?

Anyway, I'd start a thread on that @ the gear wanted subforum here, maybe someone can help you out - as I am certain players coming up through the ranks don't all start out at age 8 with >=6 feet tall ;)

I just prefer the professional version of the gear as I think it's better made. I have pro stock pants right now which I love, but I think it's time to transition to a girdle

Maybe a medium 9k would work for you. My medium 9k was much more snug then my medium pants. And the thigh pads are adjustable. I'm 5'8 180 lbs

You should be in junior XL methinks. I have a S One95 girdle and it could stand to be an inch shorter - and I'm only 5'8".

I just have very short legs which is definitely a problem

Same height/weight, I wear a 9K medium and definitely have room to shorten the legs.

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

You can adjust the legs on the girdles.

That's what I have. The One95 version - it's the exact same with different graphics. It's great. The full wrap thing is wonderful.

I think i'm going to go with one of those....Although the Tackla was nice also....I am avoding any of the exp55 line as it's awful. I have the full pants I'm looking to move. I wore them once and hated them
