Detroit is just another name for Sweden!

I can't think of any good reason to leave Ottawa for Detroit. They barely made the playoffs last year, and I don't think he makes them much better. Ottawa is up and coming.

Bingo. He's going to get just as many cups on Detroit as in Ottawa. Dumb move.

I'm not complaining, just wish the Wings would sign some more D men...

I really am shocked he left ottawa. I thought he'd retire a sen, one of the few guys to play with one team his whole career.

Wings landed Weiss from the panthers to. I agree mincy they do need to stock up on the back end especially with all the new found and existing veteran presence up front.
Pavel Datsyuk Gear or any wings gear!

detroit and ottawa finished with the same points.

except ottawa had a crazy amount of injuries all year. I understand that detroit has some good players, but you're at the end of a good career where he was. The organization and people love him like a folk hero so this is definitely a pretty selfish move.

I can't stand ottawa but i can sympathize with losing a person that is a major cog in your organization

Detroit will also be a division rival this year. Should be interesting the first time Detroit rolls into Ottawa. Standing ovation or boos?

It doesn't feel like the sens with alfie gone, he was the face of the team

Always interested in anything that has to do with Kane or the Sens!

Definitely a standing ovation

I'm sure that there will be a few boos as well however as many fans probably look at his moving as a selfish move that doesn't benefit the team

Well, I can tell you that this city will no longer be the same without Alfie.

BUT on the plus side, I've always been a Detroit fan so I'm happy :)

They replaced him with Ryan though, so really not that big of a loss. The Wings need D!!

NHL teams could care less that you want a pair of brand new Warrior Luxe/Franchise custom thumb loop super custom digi toilet paper soft palm with double added reinforced custom Warrior logo backhand padding gloves or a 17 flex double kreps curve upside down toe hook stick from your fav player/team. -Bakes
