Yep, great for the sens, as a ducks fan not sure how I feel. Hopefully this is an indication that teemu will be back

IMO I think the sens made out well taking a younger Bobby Ryan over Alfie. Great pickup!

The Ducks won this trade. Ryan was a 30 goal scorer, but if you plug in Silfverberg in Anaheim's top six, I don't see it as a stretch for him to score 25 right away, and more as he develops as a player. I would argue the Ducks made a good trade if it was one for one - they got a player that I don't expect to be a big production dropoff from Ryan, and they made significant cap savings. And then they got one of Ottawa's best prospects, and a first round pick on top of it. The Sens had to do something after they lost Alfredsson, but I really see them regretting this later on. Especially when Ryan is on the first train out of town as a UFA in two years.
