How would you rate the jerseys and style in the NHL vs. the KHL

Which team has the best and which is the worst in your opinion?

As far as jerseys go I always liked the classic cska red army sweaters. Dynamos are slick too. A lot of them are just knock off NHL colors though.

Aside from jerseys, it's interesting how lots of the guys use dated gear, many still in x60 skates for example

wat

what a useless post from one of the people quickest to comment on the shortfalls of others on here.  maybe you didnt understand the OP, maybe he wasnt clear enough for you, but he raised a legitimate discussion on the aesthetics in the NHL vs KHL.  your useless one word post led to another useless post that makes 50% of this discussion clutter.  i know this is the internet but the maturity level of this board is at an all time low.  show some respect and grow up.

to the OP im not familiar with all of the KHL jerseys but they do have several designs that have really nice colorblocking

Anyway...

If anyone has seen my post in the jersey thread it is pretty obvious that I am a big fan of sublimated hockey jerseys and everything that they can bring to the table.  I like that many of the KHL jerseys are not "traditional" in their design.  I actually like the advertising on the jerseys in the KHL, it does not seem to be over-done.  Now, leagues in other parts of the world (I'm looking at you Finland, Sweden, and Germany) are a little over-the-top in the amount of and placement of sponsors' logos.

I do not think I can pick the KHL or NHL as "better" than the other.  But, my favorite jerseys have to Be Ak Bars, great color layout, and clean design on both the home and away kits.

KHL also doesn't have many if any players who are on Bauer or other big name adds. Goes to show how nhl players are just used to sell product. X60 is a nice skate or like above mission skates old and some didn't like them at all. If its not broke dont fix it. NHL players don't follow this much.

Overall the play of complete team plays and training I think the NHL kills the khl. I watched zherdev play for a full season and the d did not always seem to be in position or show toughness on opposing forwards.

Jersey wise I love euro style. But I agree like Joey mentioned Suisse, Germany overdue it.

hockey for me is also about aesthetics. Therefore I absolutely prefer NHL jerseys because all the Russian and European ones are plastered with ads - so ugly!

I guess the difference is, when a guy stays in the NHL in 10-year-old model skates, you dress them up to look like new ones: Rafalski also stayed in Amp Fly's straight through the S-Series and AG years, until going over to x60's. I wouldn't be surprised if he only stopped because Bauer refused to make him anymore dressed up AF's after buying Mission out. Also, Zinovyev's been in Easton's and Reeboks, though not nearly as much as his apparently beloved Amp Fly's.

I respectfully disagree.  That is why there are gloves branded as another make/model, sticks painted as a newer model, skates dressed to look like the newest model while clearly having the makeup of an older model that hasn't been around in years.  Also, the large amount of players still wearing elbows/shoulders/shins that they wore in junior hockey.

Then there are the stories of guys like Mike Green rebelling when their favorite stick will not longer be produced for them. Or Modano switching to Warrior gloves because they made him a clone of his beloved Easton gloves when Easton would no longer produce them for him. These guys are the biggest creatures of habit that you can imagine, or that is what people that are "in the know" have relayed to me.

Mike mo is gone. And the rest still have to update or cover up their look. Khl doesn't. Kinda what I meant. NHL like all pro leagues force fees brands down throats. My bro thinks he needs the apx gloves due to ovi. Hhaha.

I love my gear due to using brands. Yes pros influence me in ways of seeing how things look or what new gear comes out. I never wear certain things due to one pro using it.
