I know companies copy each other all the time but looking at the nxg pant and the reebok 9k girdle and shell they almost look the same
We have all seen the 9k, I just wanted to know your thoughts on this
did Bauer rip off Reebok 9k with the NXG pant?

I think there's only so many different ways you can make pants. Many girdles aren't much different than my old Cooperalls, different materials, but very similar in design.

It seems to be that way with the shell, but in my opinion, the girdles that Bauer puts out are always different and don't fit quite the same way. The girdle is different in a lot of ways, especially with them using the stretchy material for many parts of it.
But they got the idea off the best pants ever made, so it's about time they did something like it.

No, they are not a ripoff.
Bauers adaptable core girdles have been around for awhile. I know more people that wear those than 9ks.

I doubt they would. The shells on the nexg fit so tight that I don't think they would fit well at all.

A couple thoughts, first off are they really calling these pants? I can spot a girdle when I see one. I have been wearing a girdle since the 80s. Started with the Cooperall Pro and now wear the Bauer MBP8 Pro or something like that.
I agree there are only so many ways to make a girdle/wrap/corepad/"pantwithshellcombo" they are all inherently different yet similar. I would say the 9K is the most "different" in design of them all and the NXG probably has more in common than with the X60 and TotalOne than the 9K.
My son recently switched from the X60 to the 9K and I just wandered out to the garage and confirmed that the Velcro tabs on his Reebok pro stock Lightning shell fit pretty much perfectly in the same 3 little cloth hoops on his old X60 girdle that appear to be exactly the same as the ones on the NXG.

Forgot to ask if the NXG is as protective in the kidney and tail bone as the 9k
