"Colt tagged several players to put one stick through 10,000 hours of use – still, the flex and pop did not deteriorate whatsoever."

That's over 400 days of testing every hour of the day. The company was formed this year.

Why is there only a 60 day warranty, blade maybe?

Also think of all the power plays that won't be happening in the NHL. A lot of slashing penalties are coming from a stick a breaking.

If the stick is so strong it can't break, will the colt stick be responsible for more slashing penalties breaking other composites?

I think colt also uses the statistic of players logging 1000 slapshots an hour. That's quite a bit of shooting in a hour

The handle of the stick can still break. Maybe that's why they have a warranty?

Hockey sticks have to be able to break, so players don't impale themselves.

Weight is light but balance is a little off. Bottom heavy. But makes sense because that is where it is coated in metal

I bought one. First impression was, it acts just like every other high end stick I've owned. I hit the ice midway through a pickup game and didn't notice it. That let me know it can hang with the top dogs.

The downside? At the 57-58 day mark, I was playing a beer league game. All my shots and passes were off - they were fluttering or off-speed. It wasn't until I got off the ice that I noticed the blade went dead. When I touched it, you could hear the foam shifting. The coating kept the blade together, but on the inside it was broken.

They've given me the option of getting another Gen1, or waiting for the Gen2 and buying it at cost. I believe in the technology, I think it just needs to get tweaked and perfected, so I'm gonna wait on the Gen2.

For those ball and roller hockey guys out there, this stick is made for you.
