I believe what I have is a Reckoner painted as a PMT2

As well as an "SC" Trigger, TRI I think means Tacks, RibCore blade?

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm these sticks are for sure Jetspeeds. Both were painted as a Jetspeed and had (JS) on both labels which would lead me to believe they are true Jetspeeds. What threw me off though is that the Trouba has the rib indentation on the taper, same as the Ribcore Triggers. Does that mean it’s actually a ribcore or can Jetspeeds (or even tacks) have the ribs as well.

hey bud ,

The Trouba is a Trigger 2 and the other one has the tack line flex profile so big chance its a ST or St2.0 depending on the type of carbon eave you have on you stick !

cheers

Great thanks for the heads up! Was hoping to try out a Jetspeed so I’ll probably take it back to the store then. The store owners were adamant they were still both jetspeeds. Also just curious how you know it’s a tacks like, what part of the code indicates tacks.

Also I saw on this website: https://www.hockeyst...ts/ccm-jetspeed that Jetspeeds or other lines can have ribs if requested by the player but still be the Jetspeed construction. Specifically says “Pro stocks can come with certain customization's chosen by pro players that are not typical at retail (Ex. - Left - 85 Flex marked as JS by CCM code but also has the trigger rib”. Which lead me to believe that the Trouba could possibly be Jetspeed with the indentation. Is that true or just BS?

For your Trouba one, where the barcode says: HSMTR2SP  the TR2 is the actual construction, Trigger 2, so it is a Trigger 2 with Jetspeed graphics.

Yeah I figured that was probably the case for that one. But for the Lockner one I was searching online and couldn’t find anything related to “HC4” code in any ccm custom stick forms. So was hoping maybe that was a new code for Jetspeed.

I thought SMHC4 would be JetSpeed, since SMHC was for RBZ in the past. Thought Tacks was SMSM. Am I wrong on that HSelect09?

Agreed that the Trouba stick is a Trigger2 with the SMTR2 code.

The top picture is a Trigger 2 with Jetspeed graphics. C4 is the code for CCMs RBZ line. If it has the new type of carbon weave like the ACCU2 Blades with the peel ply finish it will be a True Jetspeed. To back this up, I have my own custom Trigger 2s with Jetspeed graphics matching the top pictures code. I am an Equipment Manager in the OHL and I see the C4 on all jetspeed models.

I’m no expert on weaves and finishes although I have a few ribcor pro stocks so I know what that weave looks like. The one on this stick is similar but smaller with what I believe is the peel ply finish you’re referring to. The first pic is the weave on the stick I have and the second is the blade finish.

It’s always tough because you never see any blade specs. From what It looks like because of the Matte blade finish it will either be a RBZ, RBZ Stage 2, Superfast, Speedburner, FT1 (if it has a faceplate). It is dressed as a Jetspeed but not a true Jetspeed Model.

Aw too bad. Do you have a picture of what a Jetspeed blade would look like? I saw another one when I went back to the store today that had a non matte blade without the rib. Just wondering if maybe I should grab that one instead.

If you're talking about the Cyclone Taylor sticks, none of the Troubas are true Jetspeed (ie. "R" shaft shape + sigmatex matte blade). I called them when I saw the Instagram post hoping to get another true JS Trouba stick to go with my current one. Sadly they were all T shafts with either the trigger build or likely a tacks build
