The 7k is a really comfy pad. It has some forward flex above the knee unlike the 8k. I never noticed any less protection there. Pretty sure Giroux wears these IIRC.

if i didn't already have a pair of 17's already i would be keeping these. the only reason for selling is that i thought i would offer these up to someone else instead of me hogging all the pro stock hockey gear!haha


ps: i am 6'0'' and wear a 17'' pad. if you are worried that these are too long, dont be!

He's right on the sizing. I'm 6' and wear a set of 17" Jofa shins (9040's IIRC). They aren't huge by any means. They fit fine over top of the tongues on my skates. Can't speak for guy's that roll tongues out.
