probably some kid that needs money who would rather sell his stuff than get a job and thinks that people will pay crazy prices.

I have a shell and a pair of gloves but I paid cheap prices for mine. something like $40 for the shell and $90 for the gloves?

 

it makes me miss the old days when you could leave comments and tell sellers they were full of crap.

I know I've seen all kinds of Little Caesars, Belle Tire, Victory Honda etc. gear at Play if Again Sports around Detroit. Most of it is pretty beat up, but the prices are cheaper than even the cheap prices you've got listed.

 

People can ask whatever they want for stuff. I'm sure they won't get it in this case.

It's definitely cool. Looking at that seller's locker though, he has a bunch of weird goalie memorabilia, and his prices are more in line with that type of memorabilia market

The same guy is selling destroyed AHL helmets/gloves for $300, a knockoff heat-pressed 3.0 for $300, and 2.0 goalie cuts for $400. I don't think he actually intends to sell anything.
