I use the Kane grip and love them.

Never had an issue with weight.

They are all I use.

Easy to apply and remove :0)

Has anyone tried to remove one when you broke a stick?

yes, use hot water

take your stick, and use a flat head screwdriver, push it between the shaft and the mack, lift it up a little and pour hot faucet water into it so it loosens it up. repeat on all four sides, slide it right out and use it again.

I used the same two tacki macks for four years straight because of this method

Let's move it here so we don't have to get duped out thinking psh got a new haul

Anyone complain about the weight of the tackimac?

the 8" one weighs like 2 oz on a good day, lets be real here, its all that tape on the blade that you're using that weighs more.  or your cement hands, Tim.

Does anyone find when you reuse it on another stick it tends to develop bubbles and does not fit as tightly?

i dont use the tape it comes with, i use dial hand soap and hot water and once it dries you can reactivate the soap and remove it for use once the stick breaks.

I just rolled it off starting from the bottom of the grip. Be careful when you unroll it, if you have a larger grip 7" or bigger, it is almost impossible to flip it if it's inside out. I ended up cutting an inch off which made it much easier. When it was full length I was getting blisters and breaking skin off my fingers trying to flip it.

Has anyone sanded one these down I love the grip but the knob is just to big for my liking. I have a sand paper drill bit and was thinking of sanding down the knob. Any others do this ? Does it totally ruin it. I know the Kane is small and thin but don't like the spun tape wrap at all. Thanks for your help

I was also thinking of cutting the knob off completely and using it without it or cutting the knob off and sliding it down so I can use regular tape and make the knob I like and have the grip of the tacki Mac for my hands. Thoughts?

A lot of thought is going into a $6 item. Cut the knob off, try it out and if you don't like it, remove it. That would be my suggestion.

I've taped up my butt end, cut the top off the tacki mac and put the rest on covering up my tape butt end as well. Worked out really good, just cover the tape in hairspray so it sticks and mold the tacki Mac around the butt end.

I have cut the knob off and shortened the grip to my liking, worked great
