Since Rekker is $200 and the X Core 9 is $300, go with the Rekker and tell her that you still have a half the credit necessary, for a premium stick in the future.

I used the True XCore at Summer Jam for the full two hour skate. It was the nicest feeling stick I have used in years. The blade insert provides for great puck feel. Shots were hard- first time I've been excited about a new stick in forever.

I personally didn't like the True. I would go with the Rekker if I was given a choice

Rekker EK60 feels better for the price IMO.

If you didn't like the blade feel of the T100, chances are you won't like the EK60 blade feel. It's the same VRF2 blade on the EK60 as the T100 and 120.

More importantly, where can you get an X Core for $219?

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

^^^This is false, the T100 blade wasn't even the same when the T120 came around, the ONLY thing they Rekker has in similarities to the T line is the Grip, you choose a EK with a grip it has the T120 grip.   THATS IT.

the Rekker is entirely new technology that has not been used for hockey, the feel of the shaft and the blade and performance is completely different.

Feel free to check out my hockey reviews, or random stuff

From Sherwood's website:

T100: "The T100 has been completely re-designed from the ground up with an increased taper zone to allow for more powerful shots. It is equipped with our VRF.2 blade for a more active response and increased puck feel."

T120: "Also featuring our new VRF.2 Technology foam blade which prevent premature disintegration..."

EK15 and EK60: Look at any picture of the blade on them online and you'll see the VRF2 logo.

It's the same blade, with the difference being that the T-Series sticks have something similar to an expanded throat design.

I've been dealing with a rep about this stick to pick a group of people to test them out and load it on social media....

It has similarities but its not the same

The foam and carbon stabilizer inside the blade are the only thing they share.

I've been using the T120. Nice feel and real durable. Plays a bit stiffer. Excited to try the EK60. Great price point too.
