I have that same stretch stuff...while it is very good and less wear than regular tape, it is not the gauze type type the pros are using. I have 2 Semin sticks from the Caps that had the gauze originally on it and I ordered that stuff thinking it was the pro stuff. Adding on to everyone else here, if anyone figures out where to get the true gauze stuff, other than raiding a local hospital, please post.

Thom at Stick Fix Texas South has some. I saw black and white, although I'm sure he has other colors too. He also sells the stretch stuff just incase you come across those as well.

Stick Fix does have the Gauze tape, in plenty of colors (I used to use the Royal), but I don't think they have grey. Never hurts to ask.

Unless I wasn't searching with the right words, does anyone know if rolls of grey gauze / handle tape is available to the public?

The LA Kings have probably been using it for a little while now but I JUST realized this ... and ever since then, that's all I could stare at when they'd zoom in on the kings bench. Mezmorized !
