So I'd tried Howies and Elite and thought both were crap. My Howie lace ripped after one skate and then another after 2 weeks. I feel after a a week or 2 of skating the elite loose there wax finish and would have to re-tie at the start of every 3rd period. Nothing else available around me though. Any one else have a brand they can swear by and not swear at?

I've always had good howies laces that sucks about your pairs, if you reach out to them they will most probably give you replacements. Other then howies I have used Graf and Nike/Bauer and found them to be pretty solid

I am using the CCM right now for about 2 months, 2x/week. So far, so good:

I think you are asking too much of a pair of laces if you are only retying at the 3rd. I retie at the beginning of each period. Depending on your size, I have a couple of wide pro stock laces to sell you at 96."

another vote for Graf. my current pair have lasted 3 years playing 2-3 times a week year round and I NEVER have to re-tie my laces.

always looking for non Reebok L & XL shells......
