Edit: We have 6 people right now. Looking for 4 more people to start a league. NHL season starts on the 15th so we've got about two weeks to fill it up and draft.

 

 

We usually have a league going by now.. Anyone interested? We'd need about 8-12 people. $5-$20 buy in.

Hello S2K,

 

We are back for a fourth year in a row with fantasy hockey! I'd like to get this going a bit earlier this year, if you're interested please comment in this thread. Priority will be given to last years members and we will expand the league if the interest is there.

 

Rules are pretty simple:

1-First come first served

2-In order to join you must paypal me $20 and then you will receive the league id and password

3-Draft time/scoring system/roster size is negotiable

4-All league decisions are majority rules

 

Scoring: Head-to-head

 

Roster size: 3C 3 LW 3 RW 4D 1UTIL 2G 1IR 4BENCH

 

Categories :Player: G A PIM PPP SHP SOG HITS BLOCK SHOTS

                   Goalie: W GAA S% SO

 

Tapiolaboy13 was our winner last year!

I'm in:) Would really like to add an IR+ spot, it seems that a lot of team wait an endless time before putting them on IR...

Doesn't seem like there is a ton of interest here. I've started up a league within an EHM sim league I am apart of. We're short a few people so I'm trying to fill it up from outside sources.

 
Here are the settings as of now, could change slightly:
 
Site / Format: Yahoo H2H
Entry Fee: $5 via PayPal
Prize Payout: I'm thinking winner take all simply due to the low buy-in.
Draft Date: TBD, likely the first weekend of October (1st/2nd)
Categories: G, A, PIM, PPP, SOG, HIT, BLK, W, GAA, SV%, SO
Roster Size: C C C, LW LW LW, RW RW RW, D D D D, G G, BN BN BN BN, IR IR+
Max Teams: 12
Acquisitions Per Week: 6
Min Goalie Starts: 3

Still have room for teams and need the people who paid to submit their teams into yahoo. I will not be chasing people. If we dont get enough people I will simply refund everyone

All signed up. C'mon guys!

 

Also a few suggestions for settings (first two are a must imo)

 

-Add an IR+ spot as well as the IR. Allows you to put players who are DTD, or just not listed as IR eligible despite being hurt longterm, on said spot.

 

-Make the playoffs end on Week 23 instead of week 24. The final week of the NHL season is generally pretty flawed. Top teams rest their best players and such. Ending the week before is best for fantasy.

 

-Up the minimum goalie starts to 3-4 instead of 2.

 

-Remove Game Winning Goals as a category and replace it with something else. Maybe faceoffs or something that has some level of strategy instead of just a random stat.
