Daily work driver is a '99 Chevy S10 truck with a 4 cyl 5 speed manual. Easy on gas and cheap to maintain. We also have a '07 Hyundai Santa Fe; our 2nd Santa Fe. Great vehicles... years ago I was a Hyundai Master Tech before moving along to service writer and service manager jobs. The other stuff I drive requires this (yes, it's carbon fiber... retails for $1500... but I'm a dealer for Impact safety equipment among other performance manufacturers so it was a bit less for me thank God!) :naughty:

That is one nice looking helmet! Do you ride or is this supercar territory? You're making me and my $100 Icon helmet look depressingly pitiful haha.

Really like the old Chevy! Very cool. As to racing, I drag raced for years and was the '90 NHRA Division 5 S/ST champ. The next year I moved to a dragster and raced S/C, Comp, S/Q, and some IHRA T/D where I runner upped at 2 of their national events. I parked my dragster and drove an alcohol funny car from '96-98 and won the MWFCA title in '97. After '98 I rarely got to the track, but try to sneak in a couple runs in friends cars each year. Last one was a dragster with a 588" aluminum Mopar engine and I went a 7.23/188 in it. I'm also probably the only guy at work (I'm the service manager at a H-D/Yamaha dealership as of last July) who wears a helmet when riding a motorcycle, lol. It's second nature for me and I don't care if it's a bit uncomfortable... it beats the possible alternatives if you crash. Nights/weekends I also build race car automatic transmissions; mainly for drag race use.

The car I won the NHRA championship in '90 with. Usually slowed down to run the NHRA S/ST class with a 10.90 index, but wide open it went 10.10/132:

The dragster I still have... this shot taken around '92 in Norwalk at the IHRA World Nationals where I qualified with a 7.39 run for a 32-car field. The engine was a 572" big block Chevy that made 925 hp; usually I ran a small block though and went a best of 8.28/161 with that motor. The best pass for the dragster was with a 1053 hp 458" big block and I went 7.16/191:

The alcohol-burning funny car I drove. It had a little 388" small block in it but still ran 6.88/203. Probably the most fun car I've driven:

Shaun... now you know who to call for trans needs, lol! I'm a WD for BTE, TCI, JW, and Trans Specialties. Also Jesel, Impact, and a few others. ;) I'd imagine there are a few folks out there that I know as well. Does she run the Norcal TD stuff too? Can't tell what track that is for sure... Fontana?

I drive a Green with a tan top Buick Park Avenue. I couldn't pass it up when I saw the price (bought it 3 years ago). I end up having to haul two teammates to games and tournaments. The car has taken a beating but it won't seem to die.

My daily driver is currently a 2009 Honda Accord EX-L. It has a baby seat and juice stains on the ceiling. I average about 50,000 miles a year on my awesome Hondas.....but the one shit ass Toyota Camry I bought coudln't hang. I think I got 3 years out of it.

And yes, I love my 4 door sedans. Even when I was 23 living by the beach I rocked an Accord EX with Thule surf racks. Loyalty Brah.
