Long story short , the flex lock tongues in the new 17 1x skates didn't agree with me . I am looking to replace them , anyone have any insight . Looking for good lace bite protection , without having a crazy thick tongue . I am on the fence between a one95 tongue or similar & a bobby Clarke tongue . Any info is appreciated, Im not real familiar with all the options out there.Looks like im going to go with tsr who has quite a few offerings.

Both will suffice, all depends on your presence. Thin felt one95 i find to to be super stiff and rigid, regular felt one95 are more plush and comfortable still pretty stiff due to metatarsal protection. Bobby Clarke are a happy medium of a traditional style supreme tongue that has softer beefed up padding in between the felt and the leather outer part of the tongue. Think thickness wise inbetween regular felt and double felt.

Yeah might go with a regular felt one95.
