I’ve been struggling and bouncing back and fourth between P28 mostly, P92 sometimes and P88 a bit. I love the lie and flat blade on ice of the P88, the milder than P28 curve of the 92 but not the lie. The P28 worked best but had no backhand. Are there any pro patterns you follow for the guys who can’t work retail patterns well? I wish I had a Gallagher pro in LH, tried a P30 and it’s too short/small.

Used P28 for almost six years (P92 for my entire hockey-playing life before that), wasn't a huge fan of either really but made it work. Switched to the Benn pro this year and haven't looked back. Curve is perfect for me,

There's a heel curve that's not quite a P91 in the sense that it has more depth and is less of a wedge. I have it on 3 of my sticks, and honestly if I was able to re-order that curve I would use it over the P28.

Custom everything.

I have not, his stuff is usually too stiff.

Maybe give Base a go with their clone of his curve?

No go for base, just can’t do it.

Why not?...just curious. I personally use their Malkin pro and have been since they released it, coming from all the curves you described. Used base prior to that curve as well. I personally will never go anywhere else.

I’m very picky when it comes to sticks.

By any chance has anyone in here have any insight on the Arvidsson pro curve? Thinking about snagging one

I have some of his old 40Ks that are basically a P106. His newer Bauer twigs I’ve seen are P88ish with a little more toe.

Gotcha. His alphas on psh kinda look like a w03 variant with a toe kink. Was hoping someone could tell me if it plays similar before I drop some money haha

His curve is pretty sweet. Like if a P28 and a P92 had a baby.

Custom everything.

I know Cody Eakin uses a clone of Malkins curve, but in an 85 flex. Ryan Murray also uses something similar, but has a square toe and I think uses a 90-95 flex.

82 flex Malkin, according to the description, I am not too familiar with his pattern myself

I use Jordan Eberle for his PM9-like curve and 87 flex.  He's also the same height as me so I don't have to cut the sticks either.  Just got 2 Bauer Advanced in PM9 which I don't believe was made available at retail.
