The skates came in this weekend and I have to say they are by far the best fitting skate out of the box I have EVER tried. The boots are completely one piece, it looks like the toe cap is part of this one piece design as well. These skates are not extremely stiff, but they are not soft either. The tongues on these are a long black felt tongue, similar to the S17 tongues, but thicker. The boots do fit wider than any other standard D width skate I have ever tried, I'd say they are close to Flexlites in terms of width. The heels aren't super narrow, but not wide either. I've never skated in an Easton skate before so it's hard for me to compare these to any other Eastons in terms of fit, performance or anything really. The looks of these skates are incredibly subtle. I am going to wear these tonight and from the way they fit so far I don't think I'll be letting these go anytime soon. As for the 85S, it only says 85S on the outsole of the boot where drain holes would be drilled. These skates say "RS" on the top of the boot near the tendon gaurd. I will post a ton of pictures later on tonight when I get home, but these skates have more than impressed me so far.

The upper part of the boot looks very small in the first pic, but overall great looking skates

I like.
The inside exterior design looks a bit weird and flat.

In general, how do Easton's fit for skates? I am in love with my total ones but I have been curious about Easton skates for a while now...

The top of the boot does look small in the pictures. I couldn't really notice it while skating, so I guess thats a good thing haha.

As far as the inside exterior desgin, I think the greyish pattern Easton put on it gives it that look. I just sharpened them and profiled them, so I took a look at the inside and it isn't as flat as you'd think.

Woo, I can't compare the fit of any other Easton skates, since these are the only I've ever owned or used. The boot on these is not cut as high as Supremes though, closer to Vapor series I'd say. They are a wider fitting skate and for a 9D the length is longer than Bauers too. I wear a 9.5EE X60 and these fit about the same, width and length wise.

The skates are still a prototype, I'm sure when the finished model is done you will see some in the NHL.

I would kill for a pair with black tuuk holders size 9.5 or 10 extra stiff boot with gripliner and double blackfelt tongue with black laces

Really going for that "Stealth" look, huh? I've never been a fan of black holders or laces really, but it might not look too bad on these.

Only thing I don't like is the red thing coming of the tongue..kind throws off the whole "stealth" look to me

I doubt those are the tongues that will be on the skates. They do look a little out of place on these skates.

So are these prototypes like pro stock skates or like a demo retail version?

I saw the final version of the RS earlier this week, it's gonna be a interesting skate.
I also picked up some prototypes, which are like the one on the first post of this topic, except all black!
