I was so busy hating the jersey that I didn't even notice that pants were "grey".

If the gloves were grey too I feel it wouldn’t be so bad. The white gloves simply don’t work here. The away jersey they are mint but not on this.
I'm pretty sure I read that they were going to use grey gloves with them, the photoshopped images had both white and maybe one or two grey I think (or maybe I'm just losing my mind which is completely possible), was a bit confusing.

oh okay so similar what they did with the home jersey reveal when they had the white gloves. Then I feel it won’t be as bad. I know Ultrasonic wheels are super old news now, but what is wrong with these cuffs? They look like they've been in direct sunlight for the last 5 years.

Probably didn’t want to change his Gloves and the rest of his team played with all navy gloves, and he had to paint the cuff blue?
Happens from time to time, seen it in all leagues.
Dion Phaneuf had some blue Leafs gloves sprayed in black the first game/practices iirc.

Not sure if this is legit or not but Pens jersey looks nice. Also possible Nordiques gloves at the bottom?

I know everyone is saying Nordiques gloves, but those are also the same gloves they wore during the Stadium Series game. So possibly an alternate that replicates what they wore in that game?
This was my first thought too but I think the fact that it says new colors as the caption is what gives it away as something.

I thought the same thing originally but remembered reading something about a Nordiques comeback so who knows.

Meh... they could've been a whole lot worse. I was never a huge fan of the diagonal Pittsburgh jerseys to begin with, but the worst thing I can really say about them is how out of place the skating penguin looks on the shoulders. Also, despite the deep loathing I harbor for the Flyers, I can actually kinda dig theirs. The orange jersey they wore in the '80s and '90s might be my favorite Flyers jersey of all time. Also, since the shoulders and arms are no longer white, I imagine it will probably make the players less likely to inadvertently pass to someone on the other team (assuming that was an issue to begin with).

I love the diagonal Pittsburgh jerseys. To each their own.
These are both much better than the amateurish stuff we’ve seen from the NHL the last 10 years.
