Last of the Nexus? I've tried Bauer in the past, it's not for my heel shape.

I have buddies that work in the hockey industry, they've done tours of the Bauer facility and were told most likely they are going to end the Nexus line because it's the least sold skate. It's a rumour so I could totally be wrong about it.

it's not like they're going to fully go away with a vapor cut tech mesh boot. It'll probably just look more like the 1x. If true sad to see the best looking Bauer skate disappear

Malkin QRL gloves. As we all know he will change his gloves 1000x but last year was the first time he mostly stuck with CCM gloves.

Not surprised; I'm also a convert as I love using my Alpha gloves more than any other pair I've own. These might even be my most favorite gloves of all time with the exception of my TPS R8 pro stocks but they're just not the same after 2 repalms. Warrior gloves recently have been on point.

Alphas resemble those TPS R8's, do they feel similar? I have a pair of Slava Kozlov TPS pro stocks that are amazing in every respect except for their durability. I'm really intrigued by the Alphas. I agree with your last statement: QRLs were the smartest glove to come along until the Alphas. Hybrid Flex is the perfect cuff. I'm just not too keen on the Wolverine thrash marks on the retail versions.

Now that you mention it, they really do. The fingers on the Alpha are nice and snug like on the TPS and the cuff is nice and open (though not as open as the R8).

As for the Hybrid Flex cuff, I hate it. I use my Alpha Pros which have the Pro cuff found on the AX1.

kinda pointless but I thought it was interesting:  pic of ovie's one95's.  Pads have been modified to hide bauer branding. Also little elastic straps added on outside to stabilize the pad.  CCM also patched on the front thigh.

It seems to be leaning that way as hes been using CCM skates, pants, stick and helmet but hes been sticking with his Bauer gloves

If he signed with CCM would they replace the cuff on his Bauer gloves if he wanted to stick with them?

As far as I know, Ovie hasnt signed with CCM. I dont think he will have an equipment deal this year.

The reason Bauer has been putting their name on all those Easton gloves this year is simply because Bauer bought Easton

Only a handful of guys were in actual Nexus skates last season: Hedman, Kucherov, Kulikov, Haula, and Lehkonen that I can think of. Bauer just wants kids to buy Nexus and not crave the tech-mesh Vapor so many pros can't give up. Don't fall for their manure!

Not the case. Has to do with market share in the show.
