The CCM tongues are good to go- nice thick felt, bound edges and decent lace bite protection. My buddy had me pick up a pair of Nash Sniper tongues for his X-60's, and He ended up having me swap the ones from his beat CCM 952's- they were just more solid feeling. They aren't going to win any beauty contests, but they work, and work well.

Thats your opinion, i loved my CCM tongues, the lacebite pad inside it was probably the best unlike the concrete stiff ones now a days, the bend to it was really nice, Like Monty says, they feel solid!

Thats one thing i miss about CCM, they knew how to make tongues, the closest was when RBK released their white felt tongues, same exact thing, just in white.

Just did a pair for someone  using the Reebok pro tongues. Best tongues I've come across, but not for the folks with volume issues. Hockey002_zps80b9e9e9.jpg

Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone ever installed two sets of tongues on a pair of skates? I'd like to get some feedback from anyone who's done it,in terms of comfort and how they went about doing it.

Sometimes I tuck my junk between my legs and pretend to be a woman if that's what you meant?

What do you mean by two sets its impossible to put 2 pairs on so like 2 tounges per skate? Or do you mean double tounges like sew regular tounge on then cut the top of the other tounge and set onto the tounge so you have the confort of tucking shin pad over tounge but the other tounge sticking out like flop.

Nothing is impossible with gear mods! I gotta pic of a tongue put on last min with helmet screws yes helmet screws. My buddy tore his shitty tongue on his Easton's. he then ripped it out cuz it was hanging on by an inch. This is what I did.

Took two screws from a lid in locker room and a pocket knife. Bing batta boom. Got him through rest of tourney we were at and I think it's still in now!
