Will a retail shell of any brand fit over a retail pair of pants by CCM? I have a decent amount of pro stock pants(but I usually only wear them to drop-in, SnP since I dont want to ruin them thanks to some hack in the beer league that thinks we're playing for the stanley cup), but the ones I wear most often are just a retail pair of CCMs. Recently the team I play for got a connection to get shells for our team (color, logo, etc) If I wear a size small, can I just order a size small shell in any brand off of a site like icewarehouse or hockeymonkey?

When I was wearing shells over pants I always went 1 size up.

Now wearing a girdle I usually try to go with the same size.

I found the shell was too tight if I went with the same size as the pants.

I used a Tackla shell over CCM Pro Tacks pants for a long long time. Both were same size.

Thought this is an appropriate question for this topic; will Reebok 7000 bottoms fit on a 1053 upper? (both mediums)
