So I decided to get some diamond plate and make an adapter that bolts on my floor fan. Drilled 2" holes in the diamond plate and ran PVC tubes with holes drilled in the top (side air flow) that now will allow me to wash / dry gear a lot faster :)

Just be careful Tim, when air flows into a smaller space, it heats up. If your liners are flush with one of the small holes, there's a (small) chance they could burn. Test it with an old pair of socks or something first.

You need to have at least the same exit area as the inlet; preferably slightly larger.

I have air floe on the bottom of the adabter plate and not set on full blast

I got something similar from a home electrical store in the UK. Works great for skates & gloves plus it has a timer which is handy
