Curious what those Caps pants went for at the sale.

They were far less than I paid for them on Meigray for my Vranas. I picked up a few pairs. So did a couple other members. No home/away pants or shells. Only one shell total there my friend grabbed. Only third pants, CCM/Bauer. About 10 pair total. Going to be rare for years if not forever now.

Thanks. I saw very few pairs sold at auction, even at the 200 plus shipping starting price via Meigray. And then I've seen what at least one person is trying to flip them for here and so was curious.
Meigray was willing to sell the pants post auction for the starting price plus their abnormally high shipping price, and I was like, uh, nobody bid on the pants at that price....
so hopefully they have a pile of these "rare" pants for years to come.

Wow, I've been checking Meigray everyday to buy Osh's at the starting bid and have had zero luck.  They must have had them hiding in between stuff on the regular Capitals page and not the Capitals Equipment page?  You sound a little bitter you haven't found them for the price of retail pants.

Uh, no. Not bitter. Curious, especially since they could also be bought at the Caps sale for a lot less. When one holds an auction and 16 of 20 pairs don't get a single bid, then your pricing is off. If you have any idea of the amount of business I've given Meigray over the years, you'd probably have a similar reaction when they "offer" to sell you something they just failed to sell at auction for the same price. I've paid through the nose for plenty of gear over the years, so I find that little quip of yours especially amusing

If I won the Shattenkirks, and Vranas from Meigray and someone else bought the Ovie, Winniks, Holtbys, Grubauer, Wilsons, Chorneys, Carlsons, Burakovskys, and Beagles your math does not add up!  That's a few more than 4.  Good luck finding some.  You've been keeping your eye on them a bunch I can see, so you're obviously interested in them.  I hope you find the pair you're looking for at the price you're looking to spend!

I'm not sure where you got the idea this was any sort of an argument. I'm just saying if you're buying your pro stock gear from Meigray, and planning on using it and eventually selling it, you're going to lose money. That's fine if that's what you want to do (I've done it) but I think that company could be a little more customer friendly and realistic when it comes to pricing. That's a pretty common belief around the game used world too, by the way.
