i know the dude skating in this video. He interns at Easton and (obviously a biased opinion) he said that they were awesome skates. Not quite sure if i'm ready to buy into that yet. I'm interested to see some reviews on the skates from the boys on the site here!

You're talking about the same kid who plays for LMU, right?

one thing I don't understand is why aren't more players in the nhl using them if they are that amazing...

those are just mlx skates with the easton logo.
They are not MLX skates with different colors.
These were actually redesigned and re worked.
The difference between is both is quite important.
Ive owned MLX skates and I've seen the Mako skates in person.

Tried these on today. They fit like a dream. Soft foam/gel liner to mold to your feet that really makes every area of the boot fit exactly to your foot. As for the exterior, a lot of plastic and soft rubber - not sure the durability is going to be there. Also noticed the tendon guard flexes a ton which I thought was strange. Also, the skate seems to be a lot less bulky than any other skate on the market.
Easton Live event? I was at the one in Toronto! I thought they were great, and having never owned a pair of skates not made by Bauer I thought the transition into this fit wasn't all that tough. The balls of my feet hurt for a bit because they really do flatten the front of your foot right out (not sure what advantage this has, but they seemed to stress it in the 'classroom' part) but after that they were great. The (lack of) tendon guard took some adjusting to, but once I got going in these skates they felt amazing.
Was lucky enough to have my name picked for the free pair
Can't wait to use them interchangeably with my Bauer's
