I've seen Grammer's warrior bag 100 times. It's the best option at retail level, NO QUESTION.

If I didn't have a couple of pro JRZs, I'd be using the warrior for sure.

Just get one. You won't regret it.

the only thing that concerns me is the shoulder straps. I don't like it when bags hang around my knees as it puts unnecessary strain on my back. I've got Ron Hainsey's ATL Thrasher bag (also made by Warrior) somewhere in my house. I may have to pack it up and take it for a test drive.

I thought that would be a problem for me too but it's definitely not.

No, the straps are the perfect length. There is nothing bad at all about that bag. It's solid too. No holes and the zipper still works almost three years in.

thanks for all the responses and pics, you guys are awesome. I'm definitely gonna check out the warrior bag. Is there a lot different between the retail bag and customizing one? Also, on HM it says the bag is 32" long, do you guys find the bag to be big enough for all of your gear?

Here is a view from the top of the bag, not at home right now and I have time to kill.  all pockets are made of the same mesh on the top of the bag I believe.

No difference. Just color options. It definitely fits everything.

It fits all my stuff, with a little bit of room to spare. It doesn't look as big as other bags because it's taller, rather than being longer, but size won't be an issue unless you carry a whole lot of extra gear that you don't need. I don't find the straps too long - it hangs right to my waist when it's on my shoulder. I got mine cheap on hockeymonkey, and there's also this one on e-bay for a pretty good price http://www.ebay.com/...=item2ec6c11809 (might want to message the seller to make sure it has the same internal/skate pockets as the retail one).

I put my shower sandals in one of the small pocket, the middle is if for my tape, screw driver, mouth guard, wax, etc and the last pocket, my water bottle!

again great bag, small compact, yet HUGE!!!!

so you guys talked me into it and I took advantage of the Hockey Monkey clearance deal. I noticed that one of gf's travel teammates who works at Total Hockey has one and she said EVERYBODY in her store was getting one.
so far all I've done is pack it up in advance of tonight's game but this bag seems like a tank! everything fits fine except for the extra jerseys I carry but I just threw those in a laundry bag and put it in the bottom corner of the bag.
the straps are a little shorter than my Thrashers bag so it looks like they'll be perfect!
thanks again to everybody who shared details and pics!
:)
