Is Bauer P88 truly a lie 6?
Experimenting with stick length and patterns. Seems like it’s the same as a P28/PM9?
Why Bauer calls the P88 a lie 6 is one of life's mysteries.
As you say lower in the thread, it's certainly in real life a lower lie than a P92, which they also call a 6.
As far as I know, there's no documented standard of measurement or process to determine a lie, and Bauer has always called the P88 a 6, so it's historical more so than anything. Lies are only really relevant between sticks with the same pattern (ie: a P92 L6 is going to be more upright than a P92 L5), but between patterns it's somewhat meaningless, and between manufacturers, even more so.
