How do you define the quad .5??? Is that a quad 0 or 1 with a .5 greater forward pitch? Never heard of this setting and we've been using the pro sharp for 3+ years
It's a new template that pro sharp came out with thats in-between a quad 1 and 2
I think the radius are 8, 10, 12,14

He’s just using the pressure though he can push with his hand. A hockey blade cutting you is most likely gonna be someone stomping their leg down with all their weight like the Jeff carter injury. That’s way more pressure than a 70 year old man can generate with only his hand.

Just ordered a set of Tydan blades I'll be running a quad .5 profile on and a 5/8 ROH, will give some feedback on this once I try them out

Hello mc88,
I'm glad to see you again on the icehockey forum.
Is Tydan's DLC coating more better than the other companies' "black steel"s?
I don't like something coated runners because it can't be done debarring by traditional method with oil stones.
The theory of coated runner debarring is even just wipe with camo leather.
I'm very worried about that.
According to my buddy who has a pro shop and has had first hand experience with Tydan, Step, Massive, and Byonic, the Tydan DLC is better than every other companie's....Tydan apparently uses a DLC 4 coating whereas Step is only DLC 2

i dont think anything is gonna completely protect you from a sharp blade with 200+ pounds of force behind it...im sure all the NHL guys wear somethign similar and it didnt do much to stop Jeff Carter from getting sliced up

I love the forward flex you get with skipping the top eyelet, but i felt i didn't get enough ankle support on my backwards crossovers as you do with the top eyelet laced up....so now I lace the top eyelet, but just pull the laces tight enough to take out any slack, i don't really pull it tight

When I first got my FT1s I did since they were so damn stiff but after breaking them in a bit went back to full lacing which gave better support
