I used the Sakic curve for years until I started to work on my shot a lot and found I always fired pucks well high. I swapped to the kovalchuck curve( similar to p88 but I believe it's a lie 4) and took about 2 inches off that height of my stick and EVERYTHING improved. Stick handling and puck protection was better because I had the puck closer to my body(I'm a small guy) my shot I was able to get the puck up fast for in tight and now when I shot I don't hit the rafters.
Hockey shops are kinda of like big foot here in florida. There's a few around buy must suck. Saveology (Miami area, panthers practice facility or at least was), RDV( maitland, north of orlando) and Brandon Ice Forum( lightning practice facility) are probably the 3 best pro shops in the state. Central florida doesn't have hockey stores besides play it again and RDV's pro shop. The Tampa area haves a couple rinks in fairly close together. I don't know south florida all that well though.
Last night's Devil-Lightning game, the announcer said about Jager changing stick companies, that Combat(his previous stick choice) went bankrupt. Any truth to that?
