Plus the side decals aren't printed on at the factory so the EQMs don't need to take them off with acetone or anything (since the NHL doesn't allow them).

Are those pads the reason his helmet always looks crooked on his head? 

its worth replacing the padding! Maybe getting the back half from a 4500 if thats the only part cracked

I'm looking for a solid Kelly Green and Solid White jersey, but in the modern fit like a Reebok Edge 3.0. I've looked at the reebok edge 2.0 jerseys but don't want the white accent on the green jersey or the navy or black accent on the white jersey. The edge 3.0 green with grey and white with grey would work but they are difficult to find at this point. 

Any suggestions on where to find practice jerseys in modern fit with the rounded bottoms? I think it's called a drop tail, but it's on both sides

Out of curiosity, is there a specific why you wanted a Nike logo on your 4500 bucket?

Moose just about nailed it. I guess nostalgia? I have a Nike 0004 but it has cracked at all 4 screws and the padding is rock hard. 

You find that Navy 4500 yet?

is a Navy 4500 hard to find? If so I better start stocking up. 

Not sure if anyone else would be as excited about this as I am or if I'm just sick in the head. I was able to get custom decals made to replicate the Nike logos that are on a Nike 0004 helmet. So far I only did the front only "pro stock" look since I don't have the reversed swoosh for the right side panel. Thought I would share the results. 

Before:

Purchased my first pair of pro stock gloves. Iginila AX1 Navy warriors from stack the pad. Bought them without knowing much about the gloves, but they have digital palms which I think is a good thing aside from durability. Additionally I think they may be Franchise dressed as AX1, since there is not any sort of AX1 marking inside the glove. I'm not sure how I feel about the solid one piece lower cuff and the thumb not being a flex thumb but I'll give them a shot. 

Does anyone put anything protective on the palm of gloves before using them? My first pair of pro stock gloves are on their way, not really sure what type of palms to be honest. I thought about buying a palm saver or palmskinz to put over the high wear spot at the butt of my left hand. 

I use Wilson tennis over grips, do I need to do anything else? I have a pair of Bauer 4 rolls that are years old that don't have any holes but they have reinforcements and aren't pro stock.

understandable... Penguins gear is readily available on ebay. Their old champagne color way is fairly cheap but I'm not buying any of it haha

I went to Total  Pure hockey this weekend and bought an XL Bauer MX3 shell as that was the only one available. The MX3 shell is not going to work at all, too short and very tight fit over the 9k xl girdle. I don't know if I should cut my losses and sell the girdle or if I should buy another shell. 

I just bought a brand new XL 9K off of ebay. I'm 6' 225, my hips and waist (36-38 depending on the jeans/pants) are the reason I went for an XL instead of a large. I'm undecided if I like the fit at this point. I need to buy a shell to see how they will look but just wearing them around the house, the left hip cap sticks out very oddly. I can't figure out what is pushing it out, the right side is fine. Total or Pure hockey has a Bauer MX3 shell in stock that I'm going to pick up and see how it works out. 

Ultimately I don't want to remove the tags, wear it once and hate it. I'm coming from a pair of Large Bauer Supreme 2 piece pro stock pants from around 2006.
