After the success of the shinny sessions that we had in Niagara
a few weeks ago i figure we could do a few more of them during the course of
the summer.
So what I am looking to do is setup a 1 day Saturday or Sunday in late May
early June where I will rent 2 blocks of ice time.
What I am thinking of doing is limiting it to 15 skaters per side, I will
try and get 1 hour and 30 mins with a 2-3 hour gap between the sessions so guys
can go grab food or hang out in the parking lot trade/sell gear.
I'm looking to get an idea of how many people are interested, once we get
enough people I will look at getting the ice booked. My guess for the total
cost for ice will be within $15-$20 with 40 people, goalies don't pay.
I will look for a central location as possible with good quality ice.

Is that the one on Martin Grove ? That's less the 2 minutes from me.
And I'd be down for shinny depending where. Anywhere around the gta I'd be in for sure

great idea - i'd love to play.
why limit to 15? 20 skaters is the most ideal number for a fast game. two complete changes.
try george bell for reasonable cost ice, it's a good size rink with good ice also. moss park is fine but it's small ice and small rooms.

I'd be in too! Depending on where as well! I know if it's maybe closer to the border off the 401 it might be easier for the american guys and even Montreal and Ottawa guys to jump in on this? Just a suggestion. Like maybe Kingston? Cornwall? Just throwing places out there! Maybe Watertown?

I hear you Liddy, but i am most likely going to try and book this one in the middle of the GTA so the guys from the Niagara region and then the guys from the east side have an equal drive.
If this one goes off good the next one i will look outside of the GTA if we get a good turn out.
