This might be a crazy question but what are the mouth guards most nhl players use?  They look at lot smaller than normal mouthguards.  Also what mouthguard does Kane use?

I know a bunch of NCAA teams use custom Gladiator mouth guards. I have two and they're awesome.

The majorty of them go with customs from the team's dentists, you can get a under armour custom ( the clear ones not the black ones ) from your dentist for about 300$...

or just get a 40$ that will also do the job...

Custom mold from the dentist ....

Never knew why really , you put em in not water and they mold to your teeth.
Cut the length if they are too long.

Boston/Providence, San Jose/Worchester, Leafs/Marlies, almost all OHL teams and Hockey Canada (new contract i believe) use the team dentist which fits them with UA mouth guards

And I'd assume more NHL/AHL are the same I just know those for sure or at least that's what rookies get

mine is custom but done by Impact Mouthguards which is a company owned by a buddy of mine. you can cut out a lot of the cost by skipping the dentist. the mold is made and then a dental technician makes the mouthguard.
they've got a bunch of custom design options that you can add to you mouthguard.
they do a LOT of mouthguards for MMA fighters.

always looking for non Reebok L & XL shells......

I'm trying to decide between the gladiator and the impact. I use the sisu right now. I'd want something that's pretty thin. I used the custom shock doctor and that was too thick.

Any suggestions? I've heard the UA is pretty thick as well.

well I'm going to tell you to go Impact because my buddy owns the company. :)
I just had them make a backup for me and asked them to go thinner on it than the first backup they made. Frank, the owner said that I should go 4 mm. hope to have it soon.

I should have an UA coming in soon, I'll post a review in a couple days. The dentist at my wife's office said that the pads on the back molars are supposed to help focus and concentration... whatever science behind that is beyond me.

Protech Dent is the best mold to fit mouth guard ever. There's a lot of favorable reviews for it on MSH. It's absolutely amazing

Those look great - doesn't seem like they offer them in clear though...do they?

I'm pretty positive they do, or at least did. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a clear option when I bought my first.
I went with the white, it's stayed white through quite a bit of use and is really protective for how thin it is.
