I typically don't play chess in this section of the website. But just for you buddy, I'll make it happen.

Does anyone have any good hockey websites that I can read? I sometimes float through hockeybuzz.com, but I can't stand Eklund. I like reading some of the other bloggers though.

Sometimes I get tired of surfing YouTube, so I do math problems...

Since Mincy bailed on our chess game for some lunch time shinny, looks like I'm gonna be doing some math problems for the next little while!

Kuklas Korner is pretty good especially during the season.

I've also been watching A People's History of Hockey on YouTube at work. It's great background noise for those long SolidWorks drawing hours.

i'm writting my NHL Dubious Achievements awards.  I've been doing it since 2006.  I got talked into it after being so bitter about the lockout and now that i'm over it i can finally operate on it.

It was also requested that i do the 2012  one, i have it halfway done from last year so i should just finish it.

Heres a verbiage from the 2012, 2013 should be finished this week too.

-The Duke Lion Fightin' Stance Award:

Given to the player who registers the most fighting majors for the season. Other criteria for consideration include blood drawn, blood spilled, heads cracked, hands broken, and estimated number of opponents who may have shit their pants. He Will Basically try to fuck your shit up even if you don’t wanna fight.

--2011 Recipient: Brandon Prust.  No I’m not putting him in because Montreal signed him.  Prust has tied for the most fights in the season, but also because usually when you’re at home you fight for the fans sake and pump up everyone.  The tougher part of the job is fighting away, where you run the risk of pumping up the other teams fans and other team by losing the fight.  Prust hung in there pretty good in quite a few fights and brought that tough play into a full time role with the Rangers and now has carried over to Montreal where toughness has been something the team has lacked since Aaron Downey left them. He wins by heart and will.

--Honourable Mention: Shawn Thornton, in my mind he ties for the award, there can only be one since some had a beef with me splitting awards…Jerks.  Although he’s a Bruin, he has been a really consistent player, for Boston and years ago for Anaheim.  It’s led to him getting two cup rings.   He fights, he’s loyal to his team and he’s also on one of the best 4th lines in the NHL.  With his play he helps open up space and has consistent scoring chances and forecheck.  Name another “Full-Time” fighter who can do this currently?

heres 2011 if you're curious

Nice blog. Some funny stuff in there. Did you create all those awards?

Yes sir! I've been writing it for about 6-7 years now. I've changed the titles to a few and eliminated some but they're always fun

If you've got 4 minutes (or less), try and complete this:

My current best time on that quiz is 3:07. Completed it with 53 seconds remaining.
