Just to protect buyers, I think this thread could be very useful.

If you have seen any eBay auctions with counterfeit products, please post the links here.

Yeah, that's brutal.  ebay is littered with knock-off jerseys.   Even on the "better" ones that are as blatantly wrong as that one, a pretty sure sign of a fake is any Edge jersey in size 50 or below.

Here's another ebay store full of counterfeits:

Thanks for the heads up on those MX3s guys.  Other than the "printing error", what are some of the other signs we should be looking for to distinguish a fake stick?  I understand the MX3 isn't released yet is one but what should we pay attention to on the stick itself?

If your bag has wheels, you don't.

Someone should develop a chart or PDF that can be continually updated for signs of fake stuff.

Like the post before me had asked. How would we know that the mx3 stick is fake? What are the dead giveaways of that stick and fake sticks in general. Also what's an easy way to spot fake jerseys, I don't pay attention to it that much to know. Maybe instead of just posting the link to fake items maybe people can type in the reason why it's fake as well. Like "wrong color", "font is off", "labels are incorrect" etc. I believe this would definitely help us be more educated in spotting fakes.

Looking for BIOSTEEL jersey made by UA or Adidas.

Looking for Bauer Pro defender elbows size Large

Just being devils advocate over here Junkyard, but didn't you make sample product for teams that decided not to go with your services? Would those bag hence be fake? Because couldn't that be the case with the bags you listed?

Lets say I have a pair of Bauer gloves with a players name embroidered on them who never wore that glove. Is it fake?

Just wondering.

NHL.COM did make authentic EDGE jerseys 1.0 size 46 & 50 but NO size 48...

Actually, we sent all of the bags to the teams, never receiving them back, and, they were never sold (unless the team sold the sample we sent).

If we've received a return, in which we've had in some cases, we've secured the team's OK to sell them in order to recoup our costs, unless they plan on using the same design the following season where we'd then stock them and re-sell them back in.  These returns almost always consist of the team asking us to take product back because they ordered too much of it.

In the event that they don't OK the sale of the item, which we've not had, we keep them as samples.

As far as your glove is concerned, that is completely different than what is happening with the bags listed.

How so? Those Seguin Graf gloves that were circulating around here are a prime example. They are obviously made with the intent to try and get Seguin to wear them but he chose not too. How is that not the same with these hockey bags and your product? I wouldn't go calling those gloves fake, not would I call these bags(and yours) fakes either.

I'm not trying to de-rail this thread because it's a good idea. Just trying to see where the line is drawn. Those jerseys and sticks are fakes, no doubt about it. calling the bags counterfeit... though they may not.

Okay, I hadn't checked out the children's section of NHL.com lately   :P

That being said, when I see a size 50 jersey on ebay, it is usually a bad fake.

...this Junkyard fellow seems to do a lot of self-promotion in threads other than this one: http://www.sports2k....and-promotions/

go talk about how great your stuff is in there... that thread needs more action anyways.

...Kings bags have got to be legit - why else would there be a JRZ bag like that? Jr. Kings use strictly Easton as I recall...?

Sure they may not be directly from the team, but those are definitely pro quality bags made for LA

I don't see everything on the site, so, not sure of the gloves you refer to.  What I do know is that teams often receive product as samples for players, or in my case, other items, from many companies.  So GRAF was probably trying to lure Seguin, which isn't unheard of.

The fact is that the Kings are a client, we visit frequently, and those are NOT the bags they use, have used, or have ever ordered.

I'd use this definition:

  1. Counterfeit products are fake replicas of the real product. Counterfeit products are often produced with the intent to take advantage of the superior value of the imitated product.

I would differentiate this from the pro-stock/not pro-stock debate.    I'd read this thread as pertaining to sticks coming out of China that aren't made by Bauer, or jerseys coming out of Hong Kong purporting to be "made in Canada Reeboks,"   not bags that were sent to a team, but never actually used being sold as pro stock.   Let's stick to that definition and avoid the muddle that this thread is about to become.

LOL !! Yeah, I bought a few 46 when I started out...it never occurred to me back then that I would one day start playing...

50 is probably the most common size for the average non-playing buyer, hence making it a popular choice... there's a TON of these fakes in Montreal, who is known for being one of the biggest cities for buying fake jerseys

You need to get off your high horse here. Do you really think teams don't look at other options? Just because they are a customer doesn't mean they don't look for better/cheaper/better looking options.

Yea I'm happy with the vehicle I drive but that doesn't mean I don't look for something better.

Companies make samples for teams all the time, teams ask for samples all the time.

At the end of the day, they're amazing bags with a pro team logo on it made by a brand that isn't named after a place I take my scrap metal and garbage.

Just simply posting what the bags are; fake, and certainly not Kings pro stock product of any sort.
