I purchased this Bauer Supreme TotalOne MX3 Hockey stick on eBay for $200. I got it in the mail today and it looked like a repaint or a knock off. The stick is very light but the paint feels like it is very cheap. If you need more pictures just tell me. Thanks.

Some guy said if it has a colored band with the flex written inside the shaft then its real.

It has a green colored band that says 87 on it.

He also has P92 Backstrom which are fake. Retail MX3 are only being released with the newly updated P92 Ovechkin name

I think, at this point, it's safe to assume that nearly all MX3 sticks on eBay are fakes (except pro stock). The stick hasn't even been released to the public (except to those select employees sales things they run). Even then, I highly doubt they'll buy them in such bulk (or even allow them).

Another note, sticker is upside down on the Nexus they're selling. And I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the corners have flat edges on the sticker. Not sure if it's always been like that but I'm 90% sure they were rounded corners before.

Yeah, we were given the option to customize our sticks. I went with it so I'm not sure what it looks if you choose not too.

The 7 digit SKU is a Bauer internal SKU.

 

That SKU belongs to the Nexus 8000 non-grip in 102 flex.

Usually it's from dealing with Bauer products directly. That stick is indeed a fake

It says right on the barcode sticker that the stick is a Bauer "Nexus" MX3.  Im guessing it should say Supreme.  That would be the first indication that its fake.

I do not usually post, but seeing posts like this makes me question if the people behind the posts are doing this for SEO purposes and competition or have way to much time on their hands? As it is usually the same bunch commenting aggressively  I am stuck between a bit of both.  Don't get me the wrong way I have the same amount of empathy for people trying to pull a fast one on me.  My issue is as such;  people do not do their homework, make impulsive buys, then clutter up the boards with posts looking for someone to give them a kleenex.    I have seen and used fake twigs before.. relax they are not that bad..all of them break and all of them - real and or fake, are made with cheap crappy materials so the manufacturer could pay the difference as bonuses to top management and endorsement deals.  Do not argue me here - I work with composites.. sH8t labeled as A and cheaper S8it labeled to look like A.  Guess what both will break at or about the same rate.   Why are you even bringing this here?  You have doubts about the item in question then contact the seller and demand your money back.  Or are you feeling suffocated by the possibility of loosing out on a good deal, which is the same emotions that got you in this predicament in the first place.  I can bet my new MX3s you had doubts prior to making this purchase.   Lastly, it is the same inability to make smart decisions which allows you to let a group of complete strangers dictate your next moves.. who ..what.. and where are you trying to get insight into a stick you will end up using at the end of the day?!  Total affirmation / self worth seeking behavior dude... you are looking to this forum to approve or disapprove something that should be your own call.. I honestly would not want to find myself on the ice with you.. do me a favor and do not let my scathing get you down and instead use this as a wake up call. 

 

You know by the way the person who sold you this has the ability to see this thread... simple seo, and by the way these posts only increase their rankings with google, which has yet to distinguish between bad or good reviews.  BY my estimates you just bumped the guys sales by about 3%.  Good going captain confused, now more benders will buy those twigs and post their sob stories here.   

 

p.s.   I contacted the guy -  he said and I quote  "If you are not happy with the item I will gladly reimburse you"  which brings me to my last point - he has a 14 day return policy!   STOP CLUTTERING UP THE BOARDS PEOPLE.

Yeah your right man. But all I wanted to know if the stick was real or not. I just wanted a yes or no answer and proof why or why not the stick is fake or not. That's all I wanted to know. If you guys told me it was real, I would of kept the stick. But since you guys told me it is fake then Im going to ship it to the seller. I was not trying to complain about I bought a fake stick. I just needed your expertise. But I understand where your coming from.
